2013 AOTY awards???????

 I hope its at Berryessa again. Is it? I haven't seen anything yet.

There is water nearby. Maybe it will held there. One year it was held in the parking lot at Aquan Sports in San Carlos. No fishing there, however. 

Just to provide a little background on the decision to have the 2013 AOTY Awards ceremony at Headwaters...

I sent a PM to the top ten 2013 AOTY finishers asking where they wanted their awards ceremony to be and Headwaters was suggested, and no one raised any concerns or had any other suggestions for alternatives.

I also received feedback from people that wanted the AOTY awards separate from a fishing tourney to not take away from the AOTY winners "spotlight", and to put the focus back on AOTY and allow participants to BBQ, chill and talk about AOTY.

The delay in doing an official announcement with date and details has been because we need to know when the various plaques and prizes will be ready. As soon as I can get all that information confirmed I will PM the top ten and see what date works best for them, and then do an official post.

Obviously you can never make everyone happy when you pick a date and location for an awards ceremony, but it makes sense to me to let the winners pick where they want their ceremony to be.

I hope this approach makes sense.

Please let me know if you have suggestions on how to do it different/better in the future.

I like the fact that you involved the top 10 to make the decision for the location of the awards ceremony.

Awards are in process, and will be done by the week's end.

I've used some cypress that we cut on my buddy's property above Santa Cruz as the stock.

The pieces are all a little warped...just like the winners!
