Santa Cruz to Monterey?

Roughly 23nm, mostly downwindish, mostly down swellish.

I'm game....might want slightly longer days though.

What about SC to moss? What does that cut off distance wise?

The jaws at moss can be gnar sailing downwind on a big trailing sea.

Figure soquel hole is midway between sc and moss, that was an easy day....so sc to Monterey is doable with a moss bailout.

At least they had something to eat  :smt002

I read about a group that paddled across one summer.
Figuring an avg speed of only 4 mph,  We should be able to make Monterey in 6 hours minimum.      I sailed a Hobie Cat to Moss in 45 minutes.   It's a fast downwind run.
