imagine the amount of resources Allen would need just to keep track of yakuza.  probably would need a separate server just for that.

Yeah!

BMB requests just bumped up a little on the priority list.

You know I love this site exactly the way it is, I wouldn't want anything, especially now that I learned how to turn off signatures.

The avatar  - the ability to click on it and make it bigger.  Trying to tell what people, or their prize catch, etc, look like is difficult. If we could expand it to the size of a thread posting that would be good

Exactly, because it looks like polepole's avatar says, "YOU SHOULD KNOW, THE BRONCOS ROCK."

Yup.  Just like your username!!!   :smt004

-Allen

LMAO!!!

BTW, you do know you have the ability to change that back at any time.  Poor Antonio didn't know that and had to carry "GO SEAHAWKS!!!" until after the game, when he finally asked me to change it back.  To which I said, "you can do it!".

-Allen

With all the user name changes lately, how about a way to show all the aliases?

In this instance, I was BRONCOS SUCK!!!  Allen was having fun at my expense.  :smt010  :smt002

Hey Allen, a longer recent post thread would be nice since that is what I seem to key in on now.

Also, I liked that format showing all the aoty and doty recent catches, etc. I assume there was a performance reason you took it down?

What do you mean by "recent post thread"?  It's unclear to me ...

Yes, the AOTY/DOTY recent catches were server intensive and causing some issues (crashing of the AOTY site).  It's something on the list to revisit, but not near the top of the list right now.

-Allen
I believe Rob is referring to the Recent Topics listing. Once you've viewed all the listed posts, you would have to search the forum for any other recent posts.

That's correct Howard
There is one already, I use it all the time!  "All Unread Topics" button towards the bottom right after you have hit the Show Unread link.

I have absolutely no idea what the difference is.   :smt009  Can anyone explain?

-Allen
Sorry, didn't know he meant the sidebar one.  But when your list of Recent Topics has dwindled down to 0, instead of now surfing individual boards for more stuff to read on the site, you can use the All Unread Topics button, and go to page 1 of the Forum posts and start reading from the very beginning of NCKA time  :smt003

Yeah, here's where I get confused.  I thought I was already on a page showing all unread topics.  Is there somehow a difference between actually read, and only marked unread?

Could we do a trial run of the 'Like' feature?  It sounded silly to me before... like why would I want to turn NCKA into Facebook? But I now see it as a way to acknowledge individual responses inside a post, without having to type something up.  Liking a report could be the way Pat decides on the Report of the Month too.

Well, i'm not certain this is what you mean, but think I have missed out on some topics that I 'didn't' read after clicking the 'unread' button.  My best guess is that maybe when I closed the browser, or use Tapatalk, or maybe just another PC, that something gets reset, and they pop off the unread list.  Going back to All Unread is where I find these topics again.  I'm not exactly sure how to reproduce this, but if I find out i'll let you know.

Is it possible to have a (show participated) button under the unread? Sure would be convenient instead of having to go to your profile and show your post.

Can we reduce the number of topics shown in the Recent Topics on the sidebar?  I feel there are too many posts in there and would like it reduced to like 15.

Just kidding  :smt003

Why did I know that was coming?   :smt005

Note to self, push any requests from BMB down the priority list ...

Allen, I would like to see a stickied post regarding posting pictures. Maybe there is such a post & it's just not easily found anymore I don't know. Specifically I'd like to know what's the max size possible per image to be able to actually post 8 pictures per post. Currently when I click on 'Attach:' all it says is "Restrictions: 8 per post". But when I try to post pics I can only post 2 at a time. I don't mind resizing but I'd like to know what the max size is so the resized pics can look as good as possible.

Also, if anybody could steer me towards the easiest possible program to resize my pics I'd appreciate it. I have Adobe photoshop on this computer & I don't know how to resize with this yet.

I know you had a separate post for search, but since this is getting all the love...

Is it possible to have a search function for a main thread title word search?  I dont really need to see all 75 replys when the title comes up in search when I'm looking for something older.

does this make sense?

It would have made sense if you had volunteered to help improve the search results.   :smt004
