How do I post YouTube videos?

BTW, this works with most other video sharing sites as well.

I've tried cutting and pasting the you tube link on other posts but it doesn't  show as a large thumbnail like the examples.  It just remains a text hyperlink.  What am I doing wrong?

only thing i can suggest is try posting a video here then others can tell you what your doing wrong (if anything)

I just checked it.  It works now.

Note that youtube has a lot of "forms" of links.  To be sure that it gets posted here, when you are viewing a youtube video, click on the "share" tab.  You should get a URL that looks like

http://youtu.be/<some_code>
Use that when posting and it will display.

The latest video embedder that I updated to last week was broken.  I had to roll back one release, and it appears to be working again.  Let me know if you encounter any issues.

Why click the share button?just copy the address bar when you have the video open that you wanna post.  Then paste after your text entry. This shows the video in your post instead of a link.
