You can totally do this.

Think of all the $ you will save by not buying smokes! More $ for tackle!!!

Be kind to yourself...treat yourself to a nice snack or some water time or whatever it is you need to stop yourself from lighting up.

In a few days you will feel infinitely better.

DO IT!

Sincerely,

Jim

Here's something I did to encourage myself with quitting;

On day one, do some sort of exercise as a base point of what your body and lungs can do.  For me, that was riding my dirt bike as hard as I could until I thought I would puke.  You could run, hike, ride a bicycle, or anything that taxes your lungs and stamina.

Then every 30 days, repeat and see how your body feels running the same challenge but stopping where you stopped on day one.  After a year, you will be simply amazed how easy it is to do what darn near buckled your knees when you first quit.

After the first 90 days I saw a huge improvement in how well I could perform activities that would kick my butt just 3 months earlier.

And don't let it get you down if you slip and have a smoke. If you do light one up, toss it half way through the burn and also destroy the rest of the pack with water.  You don't want to hide a pack or that's all your mind will think about.  However, paying $5+ for a few drags on a smoke is gonna get old real fast and you'll realize the pleasure is not worth the price.

Here's hoping you get over the initial hump without difficulties!!

We know you can do it with our supports.  Just to let you know, if you go back to smoking again, you'll never hear the end of it from us (j/k)  :smt003  Good luck anyway...

Van-Gor,
I smoked for over 30 years and one day I said enough is enough.  It's not easy and I don't envy you but I'm proud that you've made the first step.  It's a bitch but you're the MAN!!!!
Good luck-you'll kick that monkey's ass.........

I been smoke free for a year n a half... Feels awesome, one of the hardest shit I ever done. Each day was a battle but once you past "the point" it's all smooth saling. You can do it dude- take it one day,one battle at a time.

Toothpicks and pumpkin seeds helped me tremendously by keeping my hands and mouth occupied
