Saltwater is the cure for everything that ails us,
sweat, tear or the sea.

Seems like a lot of work when we should be fishing!!  Just order one up, pre-roasted at your favorite neighborhood Chinese BBQ place.

Allen,
That is a good point about we should be fishing.
So an ideal plan would be:
* Friday night a two foot deep pit is dug; and fire pit is well stocked with oak firewood and 5 river stones delivered (about Basketball size).
* Saturday morning at 4:00 AM the fire is lit. Stones ideally would be inside a steel fire ring.
At 5:30 AM we would start the sequence I described already.
We could be done by 6:00 AM launch. You wait 4-5 hours with no attention required.

Is this tread about SMACK or SNACK
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Heck, Mooch can't even gaff a ling, think he can catch a striper?  Pfft!

You wouldn't know that if you didn't read about it. Seems like I always hear you crying about it being too rough for your little tummy when it comes to saltwater.    :smt078

Oh you'll get no argument out of me there.  I am a total saltwater whimp, but at least when I'm out there I can swing a gaff.....

We can have a fire, so I think a pit would be ok.  My only concern is its a LOT of work, and more importantly your going to attract every yellow jacket in Mendo county!

That's a pretty damn good point.

Easy solution, we dig a second pit across the lake for "roast MolBasser with honey/molasses glaze" and open that pit an hour earlier. :smt021

We all should get back to the fact that the whole tourney is a contest for the first loser due to my inevitable victory......
