That would be an awesome wood fired stove for a wok.

Thats cool Ron.  As far as the alcohol stove idea, that's interesting.  But a lot of the reason the beer can works is because the small scale permits the proper mix of fuel aerosols and air... making it work larger scale might be tough.

Nice.... Look up rocket stove too for other ideas.  My gf built one for da house using a 55 gal steel drum. You could probably use some recycled bike spokes for a grill or sumtin.  Ad far as alcohol stoves go, I use a triangia, works real good.

I built something similar, from a well pressure tank. When the bladder goes out, A new tank is required. I would imagine you could make a smoker from them as well. Here they are easy to come by. As the people who install and repair well system haul them off and scrap them. My local place gave me one. I built d portable fire pit from it. So check out your local water well maintenance people. Just a tip and have fun, there are many things I think you could use them for.

Been playing with a mailbox found by the road by my house turning it into a woodstove. However im not sure if galvanized steel is safe to use for fire burning, so im hoping to find a full steel one to rebuild it with. Also need to get some Saporo beer can to build a better chimney. Once the top and bottom are cut off, they stack together to make a collapsible chimney. Best part about the mailbox is it fits 16" wood, so once some coals are going I can use my refular wood to keep it going.
