That's awesome! Congrats guys. There are some great anglers in this club.
I might be interested if anyone is looking for a teammate for 2014?

~ Mike

I might be in.  I don't know If I would be the best choice for the 2014 NCKA primary team since I don't plan to get out as frequently in 2014.

Great job guys, you're all excellent fisherman and a credit to our community.

Now... how do you remember to shoot and post your photos? I forget about half the time. If I still had all my brain cells and 50% of my memory I would have cracked the top 10 in our region. And my team  the "Casual Anglers" might have done better than 7th. Sorry for letting you down guys :(

ruben
good job guys, yea Ruben I spaced out and didnt photo half of my fish this year. As a casual angler I casually forgot my camera most of the year or had too much fun to stop and get a good pic.

I was on it for the first couple months, than just kept forgetting to take pictures and just enjoyed my time on the water.
Congratulations to you who made a great showing with continued effort.

If anyone needs some help in next years KW on the freshwater side let me know.  I'd love to get on a team.  I have been fishing the salt as well this year but it's no secret that freshwater is where I am the most comfortable.

Well that's one way of looking at things. Yaktrap from team KayakFishingWashington was pretty much the only one on his team posting fish & he's now sitting in second place on the Kayak Man Gold Points. He's got a great chance of winning the grand prize in the raffle! & I'm thinking he may have also won the Pacific West Overall for the top KW angler in our region. Awesome.

Yes it is tough to keep you team ranking high up on the list with only one or two people submitting and I agree completely that morale drops, at one point I almost gave up as well but decided to play for myself. KW motivated me to catch more than 5 species that I had never even targeted before the competition, and not only did I get multiple PB's but set a few KW records while I was at it! FYI carp pull hard :)Just putting my .02 cents in incase someone finds themselves in the same situation next year, remember there are multiple ways to play the game. How or even if I will play next year is yet to be determined.

Oh and most important Congrats to team NCKA for staying on top!!!! It was fun playing with yall, I thought I had a chance until the ocean opened up. Then the smackdown was unleashed.

You guys think I would stand a chance in AOTY seeing how I mainly only fish the fresh?

a 20" kokanee, 33" lake trout, 16" crappie, 20" smallie, 22" spot, 33" catfish, 25" largemouth, 26" trout, 36" striper and you would have 1800pts with just fresh water fish and would be in the top four this year, so yes you could do well with just freshwater fish,  :smt003 so join the fun, cameron
