Big Sur Fire

Its A bad one   15 Homes destroyed already.

We need some rain!  ....a little at at a time though.

Hoping the wind stays down... So dry everywhere!

My old fire district borders big sur district. I'm betting they have a few engines and tankers out there now. News said big sur fire chief said her home burned around 9am! God that has to be tough!!! engine 8632 and crew be safe! thoughts and prayers for all the firefighters out there and for the people and homes in harms way! SAD NEWS!

South Monterey County Fire Protection District! You have station 3 down near you in Lockwood. I used to live there too lol.

I was at #3 for four or five years and Rural before that.

My dad was a firefighter at Hunter Lig. & parks for years back in the early 70's

He definitely saw some action back then.  That base must have been very active.  Very cool Bill.
