Half Moon Bay fishing and crabbing weekend with my nephew Michael (San Miguel), Jon (Fiver) and Glen (G-Whiz).  Weather was perfect and crabs are still plentiful.  Go get them guys before the commies rake them up.

Beautiful day on the pond! Thanks again Broski for the invite!

Kids are enjoying the bounty from all our hard work; but the smiles on there faces makes it all worth while..... made crab lassanga for the first time; was a hit with my kids. But not sure if it was because it tasted good or if it was because they did not have to crack there own crab. :smt010

We also stopped by to visit our dear brother, before heading in; when we came to a stop, I felt this wierd sensation, got the chills and goose-bumps are over... think Joel paid a special visit to us on the boat!

Wow, what a weekend.  I left the house to meet Kuya Rey at 6:30 in the parking lot and was going to be a full 10 min early...until I got to Pacifica and the 1 was closed due to a fatality accident.  Doh....so 40 minutes later and a detour to 280-92, I met up with him and his nephew in the parking lot.

Weather was a bit breezy in the morning when we were dropping pots, but that quickly died down and everything got flat and greasy from then on out.  Good weather good company, limits of Dungies and a few Lings and Octopus mixed in.  Only kink in our plans was the missing link that was supposed to have an automatic pot puller.

Pots in 180' of water = Good for big crab
Pulling them by hand when you don't have any other way to do it = bad

All in all it was a great day.  Thanks again Kuya Rey for letting me be a passenger on your boat!

:smt009 sorry broski!!!! didn't get it fixed until Saturday afternoon :smt013

but there were some really nice "LapuLapu" crabs out deep! the one in the middle was over 8" and made some of the other ones look small; had to re-measure them and they still were commie-size...

and it only took 2 minutes to brind the pot up from that depth :smt003
