Looks like Mr. Stellman and your truly will be hitting Melons Saturday. Company welcome. 8 ish launch from probably Tuttletown but will advise. This bit of rain could be triggering certain fishy behaviors in the creek arm.

Oh hell yes I will try and meet ya out there. Keep me posted on the launch. Banked it with the kids last weekend near the ramps at tuttletown 6 landed up to 15" larger fish were light pink.

Lots of planters and heard of several in the 3# range but nothing big yet. The wind advisory for the area expires at 4 am tomorrow so it should be good.

That is a WHOPPER of a paddle! But I did see some interesting report on Outcast Anglers from that area.

I highly recommend going to Angel's creek cove if you want to catch big fish.  The lake is so low, that it isn't much of a paddle. If there are as many big trout as there were last week, then it will be well worth the paddle.

Trust me, I'm a trout nerd.

Thanks Adam but Tim's gonna come play for his first trip of the year. And at tuttletown we'll be closer to the ramps incase it don't work out

Tow him.  :smt044
I'm shouting at my computer screen because you are going to Melones and not hitting up Angels creek cove during the height of the kokanee spawn.  :smt013 :smt003

Is the ramp open at Angels cove with the water so low?

It was closed last week.  I think Glory Hole is your best bet, but since the lake is so low tuttle isn't that much further.
