My name is Joe, I recently got a Hobie Pro Angler 14 to give myself more chance of getting that "even bigger" monster fish. I have only taken it out twice so far in the ten days I have had it, once to Lake Natoma and once to Lake Amador.  I really enjoy the heck out of this thing.  I haven't had the chance to get on a lake with good fishing at the time, but I did manage to catch a couple of bass at lake Natoma while I was standing. I am joining this site because I heard about it at lake Amador when I went and I talked to a few guys that seemed like cool guys there to fish a tournament. I have been wanting to "up" my fishing game for a while and decided that this would be the best way to do that without buying a gas powered boat of any kind. Any way I hope to learn a lot and fish with some of you guys when you're around Sacramento.  Here are a few pics of the yak and a few fish I caught over the last year before getting the Hobie. Tight lines!

Picking her up to go home

Installed the bimini the same day I got her.

Loaded up for the maiden voyage at Lake Natoma

Kind of just learned the ropes and tested it out instead of focusing on fishing too much.

Headed home from the voyage.

King Salmon from a buddies boat.

A typical day at Amador in mid winter

ten lb natural steel head at sailor bar in January

Cheers guys and gals, Happy to be here!

Welcome aboard!!!! There's a lot of guys to fish with in your area. I think you were the most comfortable guy out on amador on Sunday. Sitting in the shade listening to music haha. How did you do? Did your bank company do any good?
Check the events section there is another tourney 12/8 at the port of sac. You should join us.

I was quite comfortable hahaha, I lost one next to shore on a cd-9 rapala, my company lost a couple on snags.. it was way low so fish didn't behave as usual. I will check out the events right now. might be able to make that one.

It was nice meeting the few of you that I did. I am glad I didn't join the tournament, it was rough fishing for EVERYONE on that lake the entire day.
