I will probably hit the water for a few in the morning before breaking down camp.

If the condition hold it looks like it will be awesome WX.

Forecasts don't get much better.

Got all the crab bait prepped, camper packed up, fishing gear stages for Thursday. Man it seems like it has been forever since I've been on the north coast.

Should be at anchor bay around 12-1 on Friday. Set up camp then peddle out to drop the pots then go out and see if we can find some fish for dinner checking the pots on the way in.

Crab boil and fish fry when we get off the water. Possibly a competitive game of BS with the kids.

Hi,
I was up there yesterday.  The ocean was like a lake and very clear.  I could see schools of fish swimming 20' below me.  Should be great for abs.  I set 2 crab pots  in 80' of water about 100 yds  past the wash rock in front, and a crab ring around the North corner past fish rock about 250 ' past the last kelp. In 3 hours I got one jellyfish, 2 starfish, and one legal but small dungeness.  A commercial boat was pulling a trap line from the area while I was going out there.
The fishing was great though.  I got a 32" ling on a greenish swimbait, and caught so many Blacks that I   stopped fishing for them.  I was catching them on white flies, but when  I put a 1/2 " piece of squid on the flies, I would get one on each at the same time. I fished on the north side of the big rock island just to the north of the bay.  I heard that the crabbing was not so good, which was what i found.
One other thing.  There are massive quantities of seals on the big fish rock to the north, with groups of them cavorting in the water.  I did see them occasionally jumping clear out of the water.  It seemed to be playful youngsters rather than escaping behavior, as they stayed in the same area after breaching rather than swimming away, but I don't know for sure.
