I am looking for a set of farmer john for my 9yr old son.  He is about 4'2", 55lbs.  A skinny dude.  Called Steel's in Oakland and no luck.  Any suggestions and pointers will be appreciated.  New or used with no preference.

Not sure why you need a farmer john. Easy to find full wetsuits on ebay or craigslist. That's what I use for my boys when out on the water

Well, I thought Farmer John provides a bit more flexibility in terms of dealing with diferent weather.  In theory, when it is warm, he will ony have to wear the bottom piece and with a regular PFD.  In cooler days, he can then put on the top.  I also see some farmer johns with zippers, which make answering calls of nature (#1 anyway) a bit easier while on water.

When my son was that young I went to Sub Surface Progression in Ft Bragg.
They had several youth suits so we got something that fit properly.
But the REALLY cool thing was that they let us trade back the suit when he outgrew it and for a few bucks more we got another suit.
One year they traded straight across.
