Eric, this Friday and next week sounds good to me.

Pete - I'm reconsidering Friday potential because I'll be crabbing at midnight at the end of that day!     If I go it'll be tomorrow.  Drop the kids at school, load truck by 845, launch by 1015, fishing at 1045, head in by 245 to be home by 5ish to situate and light pumpkins, take kids T-or-T'ing...etc.  Sounds like a plan!   

Translation:  I'm going tomorrow to scout it out!

Just got back to LOL.  Dinnered the fam, they're now off to Halloween party and going to visit grandma in Fortuna.  I've got gear to clean but unfortunately no fish.  Came close though.  Hopefully I'll get a report up before 1130...

That's looking good for Shelter Cove, but Stormsurf is showing some weird water Friday.  I'll keep an eye on it and give an update within a couple days.

Chime in here if you're still thinking you could make it for Friday.  All day at the Cove would be best, because it could be rough early and nicer for the PM shift...

To be clear, there are no guarantees of a bite - this is a hopeful shot at a very late season salmon.  But it's very possible, and the more of us fishing the more likely we'll see a fish caught.  If our timing is immaculate (lucky) maybe we all catch fish.  If we at least get on the water and cover some miles together we will be happy with that too.   

Im in for a probably. Depends on the rain. Buddy got these in the chetco today, but it was combat. With rain fish will move into the smith and chetco system. 100s of fish are in the estuarys waiting.  That could be fun on the yaks as well.
