Was at the Concord Costco, and they have crab trap sets for $80 for 2 sets of:

Danielson style traps
ropes
floats
rope weights
harnesses
gauges
bait bags
and a mesh carrying sack.  Tough to beat for the price! Wish I had a reason to buy more gear.

You know the apocalypse is close when Costco is selling crabbing equipment.
1st Place in a private tournament I did not invite anyone else to be in. (and I barely squeaked out a victory)

that is a good deal. Looks like they have changed the design a little too with the trap door in the top.

Is that a Danielson or a knock-off?

Shoot, I just bought two Danielson setups, cost me quite a bit more than that.

Yeah, looks to be SMI.  That's why I posted it as "Danielson style"  traps, because it didn't quite look like one, but similar.  I actually like the trap door feature on the top, sometimes getting them out of the danielsons through the doors are a PITA.

They have these at the Santa Cruz Costco too. They look pretty solid.

I guess Costco really DOES sell everything, haha.
Ours even has chicken feed and chicken coops.

Stopped by the Lodi Costco this afternoon. Couldn't find the traps so I asked a young man working there if they had any in stock. He just laughed and said no, there's not many places to trap crabs in Lodi.

Has anyone seen them at Costco recently?
I've been looking for them at least at half a dozen Costcos (peninsula, east bay and north bay) without success.

Please let me know.
Thanks!
