From Sharky's boat "Miss Larene",  I did my best to count the kayaks on the water.  It was difficult with kayaks all bunched up and in constant motion.  I estimated around 100 kayakers and 30 on boats.  I think the best way to get an accurate headcount is by reviewing Glen's Tribute video.

Quality not quantity my friends. The core and the people who needed to be there were there. A Hulls, Loose Screws, Sac Town, Central Valley, East Bay, San Jose, Peninsula, Sonoma, Big Sur and the Pinoy Nation were there. There were enough to send brother Joel off in style. It was such a special moment in time.

I made the paddle out... but didn't quite make the paddle in. Thanks to Scott's Te-kill-ya... if it wasn't for Ariel I'd probably still be out there. I only drink on special occasions, it was a good day. Couldn't ask for better company.

I too agree.  Not to knock our huge Albion or Gimme Shelter events that have attracted more participants.  I've never share the water with a better group of people.
