Jesus this is sad. I think that if you cant spell these simple words by the end of Jr. High/Middle School, There's no way you should be allowed to go to high school. Unfortunately, I can picture a lot of 18 year old's stuck in 8th grade!

I kinda like the systems in other countries, say Germany for example. It used to be when you were around 12 or so, you took some tests to gauge ability and desire to go to higher education. If you did not show aptitude or desire for more schooling, they worked to find a trade school or vocational Ed which suited.
