Greetings!  Found this board in my quest to learn & start kayak fishing.  Would love to hear folks thoughts on inflatable hobies for fishing.

Hello shazbot, WTTM!

as far as i have seen, inflatable kayaks don't track! if there is a rudder option, cool. My buddy has a decent inflatable, but you lose so much potential momentum through the nose swing on every paddle, it really sucks. Cool for fishing small, moderately accessible water though.

You will quickly learn what your needs are with this community. Good luck :smt006

Welcome.  I agree on the tracking for an inflatable.  Went down a river up near Tahoe in one & the tracking was fine for that but I wouldn't consider one for my primary kayak unless my needs dictated ultimate portability/storage.

I had an inflatable long ago.  Once you get a real yak there's no going back, IMO.
