Hi Guys,

Been fishing Half Moon Bay for Rockcod....7-24 (Sunday) got 4 Cabs (only kept one), a 22" ling (released) & 2 rockcod....lost 4 lures....7-28 (Fri) Got 4 Cabs (only kept one) & 6 rockcod......7-30 Sunday 2 cabs (kept the 20") & 3 rockcod....8-6 (Sunday) Got 10 rockcod from 6:30am to 10:30am...10:30am was high...used only a 4oz torpedo wieght & anchovies & squid....squid was better...but, no Lings or Cabs...lost no lures and only lost 2 hooks.  Fished the same torpedo all day....

I usually use a 4oz. Braid Slammer Jig (color does not matter) and it is tipped with squid.  Used braided line #30 test. Jig it up & down on the bottom.

But, last time out used a 4oz topedo sinker and a j-hook.  Hooked up anchovies & squid.  Squid was easier to get bites on.  You had to be real quick with the anchovies.  Just hit bottom and reel up a couple of turns.  Look on your fish finder to see if it getting higher or lower.

You get a snag try to paddle back up hill to get it out.
