Gonna take a stab at the Sac, planning to float Balls Ferry to Jellys Ferry right through the thick of the warzone this Saturday.  On the water about 730, off the water about 3.  Should be dozens of guide boats, a hundred or so North River weekend warriors, and countless bankies chucking cannonballs w/ 12' leaders.  Helmet and eye protection recommended, anyone game?  :smt001

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Locked and loaded, we'll let you guys know how it goes.  If things work out we'll definitely be doing this a few more times, I'll try to give a bit more advanced notice next time too.

JBaker, thanks for the hookup on the GoPro, hope to put it to good use!

Have a few times. I would like to do alot more. we have an amazing river and fishery right through town. The problem becomes the hassle of shuttling cars. We have 3 great lakes with in 15 min of the river so most opt for the lakes. If you ever want to come up and fish it I'm sure some of us Redding guys would join you. I'm free on sundays

Damn!  Wish I saw this post earlier.  Maybe next trip.  They are slamming the salmon in there right now.  Good luck and can't wait to hear the report.
