Going for mine this week or the next, I asked the doc to throw the mercury test on there, I will report back, eating ocean rockfish about 2-3 x per week from all up and down the coast at the moment.

When I went for the test it took the lab tech awhile to find the right tube...she said they didn't get many people getting tested for mercury.  :smt005

Thanks for sharing Jim.  I'd trade you that 11ppm for 1/2 of mine.
I've obtained a 7 day detox kit but haven't been home long enough to use it.  Also got a heavy metal test home kit to use after the crab opener.   Trivia:   "The oceans mercury levels are projected to double in the next 20 years from coal fired power plants alone."  Trader Joe sea salt:  "Thank you so much for contacting us.  To answer your question, yes, this product has been tested for mercury, and it contains less than .05 parts per million."  Another note,  I was a welder for 30 years so who knows how long my Hg was elevated.

It is my understanding that the detox kit will lower the Hg around 1-2 points. There are some natural foods that help absorb heavy metals, I will look for the email from the Division's medical unit and post, if I cant find it I will send another email to the Dr and ask, I think it is great info to share.  :smt006
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Big Jim,    Ya gotta stop eating the crappy parts of the fish.    I know you don't like to waste meat, but,,, Fillets only from now on.    Cut out the fatty area along the lateral line which is where the metals tend to accumulate.    No collars, heads, skin, roe, etc...
If you have the mercury fillings in your teeth, might think about changing those changed to porcelain.
It all adds up over time.
