Does anyone know how the mussel inspection process works at Anderson?  I am new to kayaking and plan to take my new Outback on its maiden voyage to a lake where I can do as Hobie says "a shakedown cruise".  I know that the boat basically needs to be clean and dry, but after the cruise how do they band the kayak to allow the boat back on the reservoir in the future without having to go through another mussel inspection?  Thanks!

They check to make sure it's completely dry and set you free. No minnows allowed at Anderson.

To get banded, they basically take a long sticker  and run it through your kayak (the starboard handle on the Outback) and rack at the end of the day - make sure you get there in time.  To avoid an inspection on your next visit there, the band must be intact to prove your yak was never taken off your rack. This is great when you are fishing consecutive days. Tight lines!
