Good luck.  Normally, I'd try to join you, but I'm in Clovis (near Fresno) this weekend visiting the in-laws.  I have to earn a little more WAF before Elk.

What are the logistics of paddling form Bodega for salmon? Do you fish in the whereabouts of the pb fleet?

I've been following Coastside on this as well as talking to some friends with powerboats.  Evidently, the water the last couple weeks got pretty warm off Bodega (low 60's) and the fish seemed to disappear.  The 'commies' have been fishing up near Timber Cove to find cooler water.  With the latest few days of wind, the water temperature should be back down, but I haven't heard anything.  So, no salmon within paddling distance as far as I know.  The should be coming in close any time now.

Im heading out now, be there by 9, salmon might be a long shot, but Ill still troll an apex off the head for a while, then hit the reef for rocks and lings, bounce the sand for a 'but. Test out some homemade jigs made out of towel bars and bike/car parts. Pics to follow.
