Pacific Halibut anyone?  I know I will be making at least one or two trips in these conditions.  I might troll a rapala x rap magnum 30 to try for a thresher or maybe an albacore if the water is warm.

A 49" halibut is nice, but I want to beat my pb pacific halibut which is 49.5".  54"+ would be nice. :smt001

Or we could stay shallow and head south toward Camel rock and hang with the landlord looking for cali butts.

Was thinking of trying this tomorrow. It was only a 10'er, not that worried although it did clear the line just the same. GoPro will be rolling just in case.

It is september and the water is salty.  the landlord is around no matter where you go.  A 10' white shark cleared the line of surfers at moonstone just south of camel rock yesterday.  It isn't going to stop me from going out, but there isn't any one particular area that is going to be safer than another, its just that time of year.

Hobie fixed and the halibut are on the bite.  So are the rockfish, but it was tough without the mirage drive to keep on the fish with the ripping south current.  I helped a guy load his boat at the beach before 10am and he had his halibut already 2nd day in a row on the 05.5 line in 300ft.  He said there were hitting the herring hard.

see yall out there.
