Santa Cruz County Fair; September 10-15th

It's that time of the year again!  The Santa Cruz County Fair runs September 10 thru 15th.  The fairgrounds are located in Watsonville with easy access from Hwy 1 or the scenic drive over Hecker Pass for you Bay Area folks.  Come for the livestock exhibits, Horse Show, fair food, arts/crafts/student exhibits, agricultural history, music, live acts, hands-on science projects, carnival rides & more.  Who here doesn't like a good 'Carnie'!

   Live music with various bands throughout the week on the main stage & Friday/Saturday nigh auto races free with fair admission!

I have entered a few of my woodworking and metal sculpure pieces in the Fine Arts & Harvest buildings throughout a few different categories so please come out & check them out!  Most of these pieces will also be available for sale if you like what you see or I can do a custom piece upon request.  Since I didn't take any pictures of the pieces before I rushed them there for check-in, I'll try and snap some shots once the fair opens.  I'll be in/out of there throughout the week/weekend.  Let me know & we'll hook up for a drink or snack!

I was out these last night to watch some of the final prep's going on.  I also enjoy helping/watching the weigh-in at the livestock department so it's a can't miss for me!  My mom run's the gift shop at the Ag. History section so drop by & say hi!

I have a couple fish sculptures on display too .... one in the Fine Arts Building & one in the Harvest Building along with some woodwork in both too....  Let me know how I placed.  Not sure if I can make it out there today.

Naomi won a bunch of ribbons too. She's stoked!!
Filled up on corn dogs/ deep fried chips/beer and cinnamon buns, watched turkey races and lots of animals. Gotta love the fair.  Missed you Joe.
