I have the Revolution and what is said about the Hobie is true. They have their limits and functions my Revolution however, I would not hesitate to take out in the ocean but with that said their are of number of things I had to change to make it safe for ocean. I have swamped in the Outfitter do to MFR. flaw.
Currently looking at other kayaks for ocean fishing with the  Cobra's for their stability a number of my fellow Kayakers have recommended the OK but sitting in the water is a draw back but we are in a water sport.
I have found that anyone I have hooked up with are more than willing to let me paddle their yaks. Your only set back will be not asking, so ask.
