Topic: Russian River, CA. Do King Salmon run on this river or no?  (Read 870 times)

I have heard that Kings typically don't run on this river  but the Chinook do. My family and I are going to be camping river side in 2 weekends and if they are gonna be running i was going to try for them just outside of our campsite. I also heard that you cannot target the Chinook as the numbers are pretty low and fishing for them in prohibited as they are protected. Can anyone with some knowledge on this shoot me a PM because i would hate to break some regs as I pride myself on follow the rules and protecting fish as they were meant to be protected by regs.

Kings = Chinook.

No fishing for them on the river.  Read the regs.
