Looks like there fish still hanging around south of the Ritz, my friend got 5 off hoochies in deep water yesterday....

another buddy who went north (duxbury) fished all day without a bit; so i guess it is slowing down around blowdega....

We'll be out there on Sunday pounding the Ritz; or targeting ground dwellers if things are slow on the bite.....

SuperD-  Depends how we do!

I'm planning to launch around first light, and spend a solid few hours trolling. If that doesn't produce, I'll tie up a swimbait and toss that for a couple/few hours.

***Just a disclaimer: As of now, this is a Half Moon Bay hookup. BUT, I am watching Marin/Muir/Dux reports very closely. If the bite turns on up there, that's where I'll be. It seems like the Marin coastline should light up any day now as the fish start to push into the bay. ***

G-whiz: thanks for the report. The Ritz is about 5 miles south of the launch. I'm planning to cover some mileage, but I'm not sure I'll be pedaling THAT far...

I don't think there is much of a salmon bite in Bodega right now. Where on the Sonoma coast were you thinking?

Alright! Half Moon Bay it is!

I plan to park at the dirt lot at the point, and launch in the harbor right around sunup.

Who else is gonna make it?

Have any of you launched from Kelly Ave in Half Moon Bay? That would put us a quick hop skip and a jump from the salmon grounds at the Ritz...

But it's a surf launch, which I would rather avoid with my Hobie...

I would prefer the launch at the old pier, but sometimes there's no parking. Never launched out of Kelly st.

I gotcha, now. I'll be tuned in to
CH. 69. Hit me up when you guys launch and I'll let you know where I'm at and how I'm doing.

Are the rest of you planning to target salmon? If so, where? I was thinking about starting at the red buoy ("PP"). If I don't see any bait there, I will work my way S/SE into the bay.

Most of the reports have been south of the Ritz, which is a bit of a haul (about 5 miles). My other thought was trolling south a few miles, then back up again.

Curious as to what your game plans might be...

Yes. Targeting salmon. White meat consolation if magic doesn't happen. I think we're most likely heading south towards the red/green buoy even further if condition is good.
