Might hit up SC harbor Thursday for some combat fishing, any takers?

Can also carpool if needed, leaving East Bay early to reach the harbor by 6am.

Sounds great to me. I'll be arriving around 5:30 if all goes well and I can get my gear today/tomorrow. Wish I could carpool, but heading in to work in Monterey afterwards (leaving SC around 830 probably.)

If you guys post a list, I can stop by Mel Cottons tomorrow afternoon probably. I need my own terminal anyways. What kind of rods/reels you guys planning to use? Also, I'll be bringing some frozen krill, we'll see how well that stuff works in a roe bag.

phish I have everything we will need minus the pink worms, I was going to go on a scavenger hunt looking for them but if you can find some that would be awesome!!!

I have everything else. So if you get those ill tie us a bunch of leaders.

Ill be using 8'6" light salmon rod with a spinning reel and 30 lb power pro.

So I've a Quantum XL Graphite 8'6" Med action spinning rod or a Fenwick Classic Glass 8'10" rated 1-2.5oz 15-30lb rod that I usually use for mooching. My only reel options are my rockfishing/mooching reel, a Daiwa Sealine great lakes 47LC level wind line-counter or a Daiwa spinning reel rated for max 10lb line, currently spooled with 12lb.

I've got 25lb on one and on another I have 50lb braid I think. (2 of same reel). Not sure how well I can underhand cast with those reels though.

Mitch I'm going with a spinning rod and power pro as well.
I'm not sure a bait caster wouldn't work fine tho

They were kicking around the idea of making it "Kids Only" every other day. Check with the Harbor Police to see if they put it into effect.

It is nuts down there. We have been biking down there to watch the people. Pure entertainment.
1st Place in a private tournament I did not invite anyone else to be in. (and I barely squeaked out a victory)

Even days are for kids. Lol it is pretty crazy.

You can underhand if you peel a bunch of line out ala fly rod lol. Ill bring a spinning outfit with 30lb power pro just in case.
