   VERY IMPRESSIVE !!! and well deserved.     

 Harold is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.   Super stoked you beat out the "other guy" ...       

      I think this deserves a special BBQ /  Award ceremony.     I'll bring a keg.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes!
We scraped together a game plan and just went out there and dove our hearts out.
One of the toughest & most competitive fields in recent memory, it was a very surprising victory to say the least.
Nevertheless, it is always gratifying to win on someone else's home turf.   


Unfortunately I was so focused on the tourney, didn't take any pics.
Still waiting for pics from everyone else. 

68 pounds could be two good stripers, or three good sized blue fish.  I would love to see and here what the species were.

Striped bass were capped at 15#, so a 50# striper counted the same as a 15# striper.
As a result, I adapted my game plan to focus on smaller species.
Wish I had just one more day of scouting.
By the time I decided to adjust my strategy, it was the eve of tournament day.

Ended up with:
2 striped bass
3 tautog
13 triggerfish
3 scup

The tournament organizers chose the moon phase with the least current out of concerns, but it wreaked havoc on fish movements.
As a direct result, the bluefish were all but non-existent for the competition. 



Slick Rick did a great job too!
He busted his butt... and proud of the work he put in.
Every competition is a gamble and he unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of the dice this time.
Knowing Rick, he'll bounce back with a vengeance.

Thats awesome Fuzz! Ive been down for a week with a stomach virus and this is the first ive clicked on NCKA, way to snap me back to real energy!
