I have to chuckle at that; "Good for you" comment.  The first time someone younger than me said that, boy!  Did that make me feel OLD!!  "You finished all your corn?  Well, good for you!"  Ha!!  For me, it was when a contractor's laborer, a guy in his 20's, saw my dirtbike, a Kawasaki KX250, in the garage and asked me about it.  I told him it was mine and that I race it.  His eyebrows went up and he said 'good for you!'.  So I asked him if he wanted to take it for a spin.  He went up and down the street, pulled into the garage, got off and asked me to hold the bike.  I reached for the bars and his knees buckled and he sat down on the ground.  He said that was the fastest, hardest hitting dirt bike he had ever been on and made his knees weak.  I told him he did fine and.....  'good for you'.  Ha!!

I turned 60 on May 22, one day before my second knee replacement. I took up kayak fishing last fall because my knees wouldn't take hiking and stream fishing any more. It's been a bum summer because the surgery failed and I haven't been OTW since then :(

No offense there sir. Just staying that I admire u paddling still and I hope to be at that age. Most folks in my family are not able to do much past their 60s.

Hope I didn't offend and if I did please accept my apologies. Wasn't my intent to disrespect at all.
