Since most of us in this site enjoy the call of the wild, I was curious to see where one would put up a dream vacation home - within the U.S.  :smt002

I voted Alaska - never been there - but I just can just imagine how much fishing time I can get because the days are sometimes longer  (and the fish tend to be bigger) :smt007

The winters are cold, long, and dark in Alaska.  I voted for summer home in Alaska and winter home in Hawaii!

What about all of the above  :smt007
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

SE AK for me. Absolutely no question about it. I could easily spend March-November in Southeast. Bears and steelhead in the spring. Salmon, ling, halibut, crab and shrimp through the summer and early fall, then Sitka Blacktail season. There's a reason folks that live there call it Paradise.

Belize.  The guy painting the house I'm working at is from there, and he never stops talking about it :director:.

Or, maybe Alaska.  That place is rad.  Been once, and hopefully going back next year.

I already live in the Monterey area and chose this area because it is ideal.  What I really dream about is the time for more vacations at any of the locations listed.

Just wait till you start driving and see the traffic down there.

I love San Diego but.....

I would love a home somewhere on the california coast.  Pretty much anywhere.
