Heading out tonight from Novato to fish for salmon tomorrow.  Considering anywhere from Sonoma Coast to Shelter Cove.
Any thoughts on the best bite.

Reading the Lawsons Landing Fishing Report sounds promising with moochers doing better than trollers. Only viable if surf is down which it should be tomorrow. Some kayakers feel area too sharky others fear not.

FYI
DFG aid, at Timber Cove yesterday, said, due the the warmer water temps the fish have gone deeper - 90-150ft
Good luck

Thanks for the info.  I'm a newbie.  I have caught salmon, and fished a mile and a half out, but going out of Lawsons and around the point feels a little too exposed for me if the weather or currents should come up.I spoke to a PB'er on way back with big salmon. He fished in 90' on the bottom mooching.  Said bite was between Bird and Elephant rock in 70' of water.
