Hi fellas!

I'm new to this art because I'm normally a bass guy with the big boat and outboard but recently I've decided to dump all of that after a severe mid life crisis... Long story but to make it short, the DOCTORS had diagnose me some serious health problems due to lack of exercise and due to the nature of my work, I don't really have time to eat any healthy home cook meals and fast food had knocked down a majority of my health.

So here goes me, sitting alone staring at my fishing lake wondering how the hell I get myself into this mess and how I'm gonna get out then as if the great one decided to give me a second chance, I noticed a kayak angler... At first I scoffed at how slow he was moving the shore line and prospecting for bass, but then after watching him pull fish after fish without ever disturbing the water or scaring the wary bass, I became convince that kayak fishing is the solution to my health problems! (That didn't include the two hours I questioned him for tips, tricks, and health benefits from kayaking and I am sold...) Hate to admit it but we boaters tend to be a little on the big on stomach side? Kayak anglers seem to be on the lean side and that's what I need.

Well here I am, I bought my first yak two days ago and I've been trying it out at a local lake and boy it's a work out! I'm sure the fishing isn't much different from a boat but being low in the water is quite a change for me and I'm working on my capsizing yak retrieval technique which doesn't seem to be going so well...

I'm a noob at kayaking but like all men learn right? Trial and Error.
Oh how I love the look on people's faces after they finish chowing down Rocky Mountain Oysters! Yup them oysters were good, now how were they made again?

I don't know squat about bass fishing but in my old Power Boat days, I spent more time zooming around looking for fish than fishing.  For me the kayak limits the fishing area covered, so I choose the spot, then fish it hard.  Often with better results than in the PB days.  I think you are going to love this  :smt004
