Navionics Nautical Chart iPhone App -BUY THIS!

Ya, good stuff. I don't use it on the water, but it's nice for studying charts, planning, finding buoys, reefs, MLPAs, etc, etc. Then I can enter those coords into my waterproof gps or Lowrance.

Lifeproof case works very well, I use it on the water no problem.

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active ... waterproof!!!

Wonder of it would work on a small cheap 7 inch tablet as a portable GPS screen? Would prefer to bring out a $150 tablet vs my phone which could cost me a lot more if I lose it.

The Mobile Compatibility Guide hasn't been updated since April (before the S4 came out).

Weird.  It runs perfectly fine on my Galaxy S4 Active.  As long as it has a supported version of Android (which it does), it will likely run on it.

I've used it on the water a few times, well worth the price.

Is there a waterproof housing for the iPhone that still allows use of the touchscreen? Or at least some way of working the phone?
I can never see my GPS screen while fishing because it sits 4 feet in front of me on my T13.

With Navionics and a housing I'd have a handheld GPS. Forgive my ignorance. I only just got an iPhone.

I use the lifeproof with the armband. Lifeproof is a great company with customer service 24/7 that speaks American English. So far they have replaced a gasket and an armband under warranty for free. I just ordered a new face and new gaskets. I'm pretty hard on the stuff and it lasts for a good while under heavy use. I'm really happy with them.
