Had a great time on the new Yak. Water level really low (Lowest in 5 years) Surface Temp between 74-79 Deg. Caught one nice rainbow and one nice brown on F7 Rainbow Rapala early morning. Caught several other smaller ones trolling a white power grub behind a SEPS at 20ft that were released. Marked several fish at 20-30 ft depth.

Great start with the new yak bro. I like what you've done on the yak in terms of rigging.  :smt002

Congrats on the nice trout - thanks for the report.  Doesn't get much better than trolling plugs for trout in the Sierra.

Glad to see it's still producing.

Well done.  Gotta love those Sierra Lakes......even the low ones.  Nice yak.  In your opinion is this better than a Hobie?  I'm thinking "peddle" for next year so I appreciate any thoughts.

kokoloco,

Can't compare to a Hobie, since I've never been on one. I can say "I Love This Yak" It's a nice easy stroke to peddle it around. Plus you can peddle backwards. When the wife gets tired paddling she will pull up along side me, and I will tie the handles together and peddle her around, can't feel much of a difference. I haven't seen another on the water yet. Next time I'm on the water, I'll post If anyone wants to give it a test drive.
