So how'd it go?

I was listening to the radio chatter this morning and one of the guys in the fleet said "WHOA! There's a kayaker out here! He's got poles sticking up and everything!".

That just made my morning!!!

Yup, that was me the only kayaker out there today. Lots of radio chatter about the lunatic  in a kayak. Even more impolite people running wfo through the fleet in thick fog. The funniest thing I heard today was "that kayaker even has a stripper pole" (my mast)..haha

report to follow...

I went out at Bodega from Westgate in thick fog last Wednesday in a 22' boat and it was freaky, all the other boats were like ghosts, visibility was terrible.  There was a minus tide and boats that launched later in the morning had a rough time.  The parking lot at Doran and Westgate were full.  We ended up with one shy of a limit for 4 guys.  Very good quality fish up to mid 20 lbs.
One of the guys yelled "WTH", there was a large whale that came up almost right next to the boat, would not have been good to tangle it in the downrigger cables!  Saw a small pod of dolphins several times around the boat.
