Hey all you Santa Cruz locals,  I noticed that Full Moon Madness Astronomy Night at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is tonight.

Friday, June 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Activities include music, crafts for kids, moonlit guided tours of the redwoods with a docent naturalist, an engaging presentation by NASA Lunar Researcher Brian Day and telescope viewing with the Santa Cruz Astronomy Club.  Bring the whole family!!
Come to the Visitor Center via the Park’s main entrance off Hwy 9
There should be some Santa Cruz Astronomy club members with telescopes set up for the public to look at the moon and other brighter objects in the sky.
Course it doesn't get dark until around 9pm, but that won't be a problem when viewing a full moon in an eyepiece.
I won't be bringing my 20" scope out because of the full moon.  If I can find my 5" scopes tripod I probably bring it down.

Good times, Jeeper.  I wish I lived closer for stuff like that.  Enjoy.   :smt001
