I'm planning to launch at Bucks early on Saturday morning (6:30 or 7:00)  and to fish the shell bank.  Perfect Sturgeon tide.  Judging from last weekends activities in the flats, I'm predicting epic sturgeon fishing so long as the wind cooperates.

Here's an excerpt from the report on usafishing.com.... how fun would that be on a kayak?

Jim Smith on the Happy Hooker found some big cooperative sturgeon on Wednesday 3-30 He was in a good mood as  they boated three LARGE sturgeon and had one, possible oversized, break off.  The fish were 72" (over 100 pounds) and two 65" inchers about 70 pounds apiece. That's a lot of fish  for the small load today. When asked a location, Jim typically said, " He caught them in San Pablo Bay." We are thinking he was working the Shell Banks or the Pump House but just where exactly we are not sure.

I'll be there...

I don't have my VHF radio though... it's going back for warranty service.

I'll plan to hit Western for Bait around 6:00...  probably troll plugs on the way out to the Shell Bank for any striper that might be hanging around at high tide.

Picked up one of those X-Raps like Chuck was using...
