I'll be donating a father/mother and daughter/son custom built matching trout/panfish rods.

That's a sweet prize, Ari already told me she is going to put in some money in hopes of winning this one.

FLASHBACK to 1st PIF!!!!!!!

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=24675.0

A friend to many here at NCKA, inspiration and fellow NorCal Kayak Angler was diagnosed with Cancer. Joel “Mooch” Lotilla  is one of the founding members of NorCal Kayak Anglers , and has been an extremely positive influence in the Kayak Angling community and an inspiration to anglers, paddlers and friends for many years.

The members of NCKA have responded to the news of Mooch’s diagnosis by banding together, creating a PayPal account to accept donations to help with the cost of medical expenses, and donating any and all profits from a series of fishing and kayaking events to the MLPA, “Mooch Life Protection Account” (a pun on the controversial Marine Life Protection Act acronym). The PayPal account for the MLPA has been posted to the website so that anybody can go to www.ncka.org <http://www.ncka.org>  and make a donation to Mooch.

The A-Hulls, a group of big hearted residents of NCKA are organizing an event to support Mooch right here in Santa Cruz. The A-Hulls  are very passionate about helping organize an event that will not only generate funds for Joel, but also celebrate the freedom and joy that paddling provides, and raise awareness and support for Joel and all those affected by Cancer. The first annual Pay it Forward Paddle hopes to accomplish all these goals!

PAY IT FORWARD is described as an obligation to do three good deeds for others in repayment of a good deed that one receives. Such good deeds should be things that the other person cannot accomplish on their own. In this way, the need to help one another can spread exponentially through society, creating a social movement with the goal of making the world a better place.

PIF was originally Porky's idea and I know he is super happy and proud of how it has grown and blossomed and gotten help and support from so many over the years.  :smt001 :smt004 :smt001

Let's all keep the above words and message in our minds and hearts when we come together on Saturday for Mooch.

Sincerely,

Jim

So anyone know if there is a chance at Salmon in HMB this weekend?  Just read an interesting report from the Queen Of Hearts: http://www.fishingboat.com/report.html#summary

Most of the HMB fleet are running up north and catching them around the Bodega Bay area; however, RF is still holding steady... Jelly bellies in the local area seems to be keeping them at bay; sorry about the pun....

This just in.........

I am donating a great compound bow that was PIF to me from Jwin.  Tons of deer hunting karma with this bad boy!

Now boys & gills ...  you gotta buy tickets to win!!!  Couldnt be easier.  PayPal or get them there!  Don't even have to be there to win!  Who will win?  We'll find out in a few short days.

Not as impressive or fun but I'll also be donating a clamp on rod holder.

Hey Jim

Are there other payment options besides Paypal?  I upped my Paypal acct to cover my donation but it won't post to Paypal in time  :smt009

I am yak-less on Saturday, other wise I'd be there...

I guess as a final option I could just drive down and pay in person...

Thanks to all who are helping out for a great cause
