Just a safety reminder. HMB is a "working Harbor" so there will be boat traffic (commercial and private). PLEASE becareful out there and know the laws before you head out.

I would like to Donate a Gorgeous Halibut painting by our own Ab10

I'll be donating a father/mother and daughter/son custom built matching trout/panfish rods. Both will be built to the winner's specifications. Due to work and chasing salmon, I am way behind on my rod building this year but will complete the rods this by the end of the year (in time for Christmas or whatever you celebrate). The material costs for the 2 rods is $250, finished value $350. Really, the value of teaching your child to fish and spending time with them is priceless. Attached are my kids first fish caught on Lake Lewiston 20 years ago. They are in their mid 20's now and still love to catch and cook fish. If you have kids, you will want to win this one. Both rods will be blessed with my fishing ju ju and guaranteed to catch fish. Really looking forward to seeing all of my brothers and sisters this Saturday. Life is good.

I will be offering 3 classes/guide trips depending on skill level:

#1 Introduction to Kayak Fishing (Freshwater): this class is for newbies and will include self-rescue demonstration and practice. The location will be Del Valle in Livermore. Time and date TBD. Kayak, paddle, PFD, rods and reels will be provided.

#2 Introduction to Saltwater Kayak Fishing: this class is for anglers with freshwater experience and have taken a kayak paddling class. Kayak, paddle, PFD, VHf,  rods, reels and bait provided. Location and time TBD. There will be self rescue practice on the way in.

#3 White Sea Bass Guide Trip: this guide trip is for experienced saltwater anglers who want to improve their WSB skills. A 1 hour prep class, OTW instruction, terminal gear and 2 pounds of primo market squid will be provided. This trip will be in August or September 2013.

All three will include a free gourmet shore lunch, beverage of your choice and video documentation.
