Awesome report and pics guys. Tx!!! The ocean whitefish is a great eating fish and one of my favorites. Be careful when handling or cleaning because the gill plates are as sharp as razor blades. 

FYI ... the Islander was talking about running a 7 day kayak fishing trip next year ... Cedros and Benitos.  Something to start saving for ...

Definitely interested!  Hope they look for the fish first before we get dropped though so we don't have to paddle so much.  I heard there could be some sharks there.

More likely bandit sea lions than sharks. Guadalupe Island can host lots of landlords because of the potential for big tuna there.
