My trail cam is in "Transit" from MO. and expected to be delivered to me on the 17th.  Didn't think it'd take this long to get it.  Usually BPS has been good at getting things to me within a week.  I ordered it last week Wednesday.
Anyhow, looking forward to setting it up on my half acre of redwoods & tan oaks, and maybe down by my creek.

Got home yesterday and my trail cam was sitting on my table.  Looks much bigger online when I ordered it.  Got it set up, (Date & time etc..) set it for 3 shot burst, 30sec delay and put it on a tree in my yard last night.  There was deer pooh 4 feet in front of the tree I choose so hopefully something will have been caught in it's crosshairs overnight! (Besides me playing with the camera part)
I'll post any shots of 4-legged critters it catches!

Looking forward to seeing what your cams capture.
One word of advice. If you have it in a tree, and a leaf moves, your cam will take a picture.
I went on a 3 day trip and put mine in a tree. Came home to like 500 pics of nothing but a branch in a little different position in each pic. Must have been a little windy when I was gone.

Have fun with your new toys...you'll never know what you will "catch".

Some piece of poo taggers have been doing there busy work on a nearby fence. Saturday morning we are going to paint over their "work" and set up the cam just after dark then  retrieve the camera each morning so they don't see it. We know where the wanna be gangstas live but need picture proof of them in the act. The local police are awaiting our photos.  :smt002

I've totally got to setup mine somewhere down by the creek.  Must be many creatures down there at night.  Now if I can remember where I put the darn thing  :smt044

I checked it yesterday, and beside the 30 or shots of me in our house and walking shots,  it caught the top of a back of a whitetail, and quick flash of something grey with black stripes I think it might have been a coon?  I think I may have had the cameras set up a little high.  I relocated it to another tree, adjusted the view angle, and set the height, and turned it on!  I plan on scouting suitable spy locations down on my creek,  I've seen huge raccoon prints in the creek bank mud!

I am looking forward to the results.  What I have seen of trail cams, they are surprising.

Last summer I started with one trail cam and this summer we have 5. I think I enjoy seeing stuff on these cameras more than I like hunting. It is an art to getting it set up just right but when you do it is totally worth it.

I agree that there is something special about seeing nature as it is without human interference and unmolested.
