Lost Coast - June 13-16, 2013

Well... My kayak didn't make the trek up to Usal with me after all, so I won't bother posting up a proper report...

We did do some surf casting and picked up a couple nice barred surf perch. The trusty old Carolina rigged motor oil grub did the trick.

The water was gin-clear as far offshore as I could see, and I didn't see any bird or whale action to speak of.

Fished shelter cove with a buddy last Saturday on the Bite Me with Captain Trent.  Limits of Salmon (22, 20, 18, & 12 lbs).  Limits of lingcod to 12 lbs., limits of rockfish (I got vermillions at 4 & 7 lbs and a legal cabezone), and 4 Dungeness crabs a piece.

Crazy good. 

Nice!!! I'm itching to get wet this weekend, but I probably won't see a score like that...
