I think the world needs a little bit of danger from time to time.  At least in some places.  Does everyplace really need to be child proof?

It never was when I was growing up. I camped with bears all the time when I was young.

Am I the only one wondering why there were no bear proof food lockers and waste bins like there are in Yosemite? Lock up their junk food, and the bears will stay away from the campground. Or are humans too difficult to train?

I saw the bear a couple times.  Whatever.  I was camping along an isolated stretch of coast in Northern California.  I was the outsider, not a Black Bear.  Save the bear!

There are sprays you can buy to discourage bears. Handy to have available if u camp in bear areas.

       Any chance you could maybe convince him to get a key that works for the bathroom door ?
