While working on 37 th ave Santa Cruz  one of my surfing buddies stopped by to give me the report ..... I guess last night 1 or 2  sups had an encounter with a shark . From what I heard around capitola pier and up towards privates ..... Later to fisherman saw a dead grey whale with a shark enjoying a meal .
Apparently the shark bit one sup bite radius 13 inch .  They are saying 12 to 15 feet . No one hurt . There were to news crews hanging trying to make a story .
Or is this just a fish story ...?????????
Hardly any sups in the water today.    Makes me wonder

I blame Bush.  Or the CIA.  Or Obama.  Or Holder.  Or Clinton.  Or Mr. Clinton. Or Big Inc.  Or Big Union.  Or Jim Jones.

Or territorial, keep off my wave with the south swell guys  :smt003 :smt044

I think they were those "valley go-home" sharks. :smt044

the signs looked good, until you got to the "...or go surf Cowell's" part.

It's funny when I was a kid , we never new if the surf  was good or bad we just went over the hill and surfed whatever was there . And if the locals did not want you there you would get beat up ,car vandalized , chased out of the water  or harassed as you climbed up the muddy root system at the hook  , yes those were the days . Been living in pleasure point since 1974  .......... Nothing like a good shark scare  , don' t you just love social media . I guess you should not believe everything you read on the Internet
Happy Friday
