my wife might let me out that weekend, WX dependent but it would probably be either run up and back friday night/Sat or a day trip.

Salt Point Lodge is right across the street. They have a bar. Nice people too.
The 667 feet walk along the highway from the camp to the bar might be a little tricky. Actually, that way might not be too bad, it's from the bar back to camp you have to worry about.
