The wind blew hard all day until around 6 pm., making paddling (and fishing) a bit easier

Jack (Kayakjack) and John (Bird) arrived on Saturday a.m. The burrito kitchen was set up quickly.

Don makes the scene and doesn't take long to get on the water. Check out the last pic...Jack's version of Shicken's floating kitchen.

Will have to remember to follow Don's lead and bring some kind of netting next time to ward off the skeeters and flies next time and be able to sleep with some fresh air.

Tim (Daleshark) arrived with daughters Amanda & Kayla AND the precious liquid gold (water) (thanks to SaveMart's generosity).

Tony (Novofish) arrives. The girls have the right idea in the heat of the day. Yia (Yester) helps Jack in the burrito kitchen. Mr. Kelsey drops in for a visit, with his five rat terriers (who all BTW tried to jump on my lap at the same time).

Aaron hooks up with his first fish before starting his kayaking venture. A vet from the Warriors Transition Unit (never got his name) arrives with his wife and three nieces. Tony and Don prep them for a day of swimming.

I was pretty much out of it for most of Saturday afternoon due to the heat but did manage some more pics once the heat abated somewhat.

Another vet Daniel on his way back in. He and his gf Maggie arrived on Saturday to camp out with us.

Resolution for next time: bug netting, long sleeve shirt, find the Repel 100, more ice and water

Had a great time out there with all you guys! Would of been awesome to see more vets out there landing sum lunkers! Either way, we salute you all who fight for our freedom to live and fish!
Couldn't get pictures of the late night bass but the real bad boys were out at night!
