Congrats on joining the "Hobie" crew. Even though we get made fun at we can troll with our hands free. I have an Outback like your but it is a 2006 model I modified it with the turbos and the rudder but too the rudder of since the steams here in Texas are shallow. If we ever get the rain we need down here and the rivers comeback to normal I'll put it back on.

It's not so much hands free trolling, it's the ability to hover in/over a spot in current or wind that really makes a Hobie so nice to have.

Well, my Outback performed flawlessly in some snotty conditions out at Muir yesterday. Mixed swell mostly from the N/W, and wind from S made for that washing machine-like effect, but the Hobie held me steady and put me over some fish.

Check out my report in the Members Only section for a couple pics. :)
